in slovenia, top-modeltehenik d.o.o., wich is ofiicial serpent dealer for slovenia, was selling preordered 960's for something like 489EUR.

here is store's annoucment:
http://forum.modelarji.com/viewtopic.php?t=5734

price 117.360SIT is in slovenian tolars; you must divide that with 240, wich is exchange rate between tolars end euros...

orders were taken on e-mail: [email protected] , infos on [email protected]

i think it is quite cheap...

but i dont care much, i drive mrx-4...

thanks for your help.

chris

btw the track i run at is very flat, high traction, and very warm to hot summer temps
More like BLING BLING then actual performance gain issue..........I don't see those team driver are using push rod front suspension, but then 950R are using laydown throttle......just a little bit of lower CG, won't slow you down by a lap because your throttle servo is the traditional stand up posiiton, Evolva 05 and MRX4 are still stand up position....

I have the pushroll on my brand new Veteq, got to have it to be a shelve queen.....

Anyone else going to make the switch over to the 960 or at least thinking about it? I think this car is going to be great.

I'm making the switch.

I think the 960 is going to be an excellent car. I can't wait to get one built.

You gotta be kidding me.......

The XR8 looks more like the 950R, no better, the MRX4......

The 960 got a different:
- braking system,
- rear anti-roll bars,
- rear suspension, (camber setting)
- throttle servo mounting options,
- price...
- performance.......

and probably a few more things.....

Very expensive? (and this is comming from a dutchman)
(Kom op, wij wonen in serpent land.........)

It's less expensive then the 950(R) is (not to talk about the Veteq.......)

To someone first getting into 1/8, ALL kits look the same! I own a XR8 and am very pleased with its performance, adjustabillity and value! It is a great car for the money, and I like it better than the Evolva I had.
The 960 is developed and produced by the most respected name in the business! I applaud Serpent for keeping the price down a bit on this new car!
Expect Serpent to increase its market share with this new offering.
