Default Spektrum for 3PK

Anyone running one of these?

I'm looking into getting one, but am a bit cautious with the tales of woe from some users. Is there any way to tell the difference from the origional release and the revised firmware edition?

Default dont do it.

Wait awhile, Buddy, ive gone through 2 of them and had to send them back because of glitching problems. So much for no interference...

I have had mine for 3 weeks now, no glitches so far. Just make sure it is set in PPM mode at the transmitter. So far I rate it as one of the best purchases I have made.

Been running it for a few Months so far, and I think its the best purchase I've made. I've run it with both electric and nitro with no glitching issues.

If you are buying it locally (Aussie) it will be the latest version, the importer had run out of the original batch long ago.

Dremmel out the plastic cover so the short one fits through it

At this stage of the Spektrum's cycle, there should be none of the original ones left...Every place inlcuding Horizon has been selling out and have many on back order....

The only you would probably fine one of these "old" versions, is thru a private sale - not a retail shop...

And, most of the original glitching problems were associated with the Airtronics/Sanwa version, not the futaba or KO ones

And, like Harry said, IT will be the best purchase you make for R/C racing...well except for maybe a starter box

I saw a post previously with a link to a company that makes a machined aluminum plug that screws into your old antena hole. It was for the M8 so I don't know if they make a futaba specific one. It looks like a short stubby antena when installed.
