Use the ones with the new arms. Basically the ones that the hole is further out on the hinge holder.

Rich, those new "hangers" are really nice. Looking forward to running this car on Sunday (I hope our nice weather holds up).

HEy Rich, really nice pieces. Are those yellow bearings from Avid?

What do you use for bearings?

Acer bearings, ceramic. Nice product, very good service.

I'll have Front '03 Suspension hangers along with the front '05 Sway bar holders in today. Plus, the Rick Davis designed Rear Sway Bar Assembly (with 3 pack or 6 pack bar thickness sets) will be available next week. This is an awesome unit.

Hi guys,

I am in the process of building my new Evolva 2005 and have a couple of problems.

1. If I adjust the 2 speed shoe screws 2-3 turns out (as recommended) they fit very tight into the gear casing. Also, when I rotate the 2 gears the inside one seems a little wharped in relation to the other one - is this normal?

2. The rear suspension appears to be very very stiff, as if the back end and springs are stuck together with superglue!? Should I shave more plastic from the upper mounts or is this not relevant?

I apologise for my lack of technical speak / knowledge.
Has anyone got any suggestions/advice about these issues please?

(PS. A lesson for other idiot builder like me - "don't forget to measure the brake disc & pads after you have glued them together!!" - that's if you want the wheels to rotate at all!?")

The recent kit I built had the issue with the 2 speed, it will probably rub until you get it on the track and run the 2-speed in. Once it wears in, you'll have to re-adjust the gap. I tried changing everything and I couldn't get rid of the rubbing problem with new parts, once I ran it, then re-adjusted it, everything was fine.

Take the rear of the car apart and test each pin location to find the binding. The rear body mount seems to be the culprit usually, follow the directions on the upright holes on the body mount, and also run a drill through the body mount guide up and down. If you have other issues you may want to invest in the Kyosho pin reemers for the inner pivots, and also check to make sure your pillow balls aren't too tight.
