My engine of choice is the REDS R5 5pt with 7mm anyway , thats a fair rule for sure.

This is very true, in reality most of us will only attend one or two ROAR events a year anyway. at the club level no one will care either way. I just think that forcing everyone to either run a Cobra or stay home at 2015 ROAR events is a bit excessive and counter productive in letting the class evolve. With that being said though Bravo to ROAR for moving fast on this!

What's the advantage or disadvantage kick up vs flat chassis. It's it leveled with different caster hubs?

Tire wear is the only advantage with flat. I also think that we need clarification in that is it the angle of the arms or the actual aluminum chassis needs to be bent. I can easily produce a FF block that gives the arms angle if that would work.

Who said that ?. Tire choice is personal, but as of not for "GT" Class, the best options on the market are Alpha RC and Sweep. If you put everything in balance (cost, availability, performance, wear rate, etc) GRP and PMT are not on the top of the list.

Anyway, i agree with the rule.

cya !

Guys,

One question.

Sorry if its been posted already, but i didnt found any info on this topic.

All this discussion on CHASSIS KICKUP. There is any OFFICIAL explanation from a ROAR related person in order to explain WHY this rule ?. Same with "licensed bodies" ?

thanks,

There aren't many 5 port onroad motors out there. Only one I know of is the novarossi basic sport n21-5t. That 5 port rule pretty much means off road no? Lol

Yes, you are correct. In my opinion, I think that ROAR's intent is to keep the engines basically buggy/truggy based for the class. If you want to run an onroad engine, you should run it in a 8th scale Lola (pan) car.
