most likely the limiting screws as posted above, the set screws that go into the rear a-arms if screwed in to far limit the travel. look into more car setup that will explain how to use these correctly.

I don't use upper limit screws.

Is your MTX3's rear end can touch the ground ?

yes, make sure your looking at the set screws that go through the bottom of the a-arm ,not the top. bottom is down stops, top ones are up stops. if those are fine take your shocks off and check to see that they are not binding. then take off the sway bar and check each arm individually, they should have a good amount of up/down movement. if you could take a pic of the back end it would help. Also make sure you didnt over pack the shock absorber. To check this make sure you can push the shock rod al the way into the shock. If you over packed it and trapped air sometimes it will only go in about half-way then stop.

I solved it my self it's because the following:
(1) my ride height is too high, about 1 cm from ground to chassis.
(2) unshaved tires.

Anybody has good setup tips for mtx3 prospec ? sorry, I'm newbie...... don't know anything about engine cars.

My home track conditions:

smooth asphalt track, medium high traction
high speed track with one long sweep corners, few short corners, one long straight, 2 short straights
air temperature: 33C - 35C degree
humidity: high ( tropical country )
track temperature: 40C+ degree

Thanks for the tips.

I put the 3mm rd logics chassie on my car and when I went to Nats. I had to add 35grams of weight to the car with no other light weight parts except for the titanium front shaft.

just try this out, hope it works. it works fine to me.

40F(58mm)198mm; 42Rear Tires(61mm)200mm
New Blue Springs or Grey Springs from Mugen
Camber F:2; R3 to 4
Toe; F:0; R 2
Ride Height: F3 ; R 5
Anti-roll bar: F Flat; R: Normal as default
Downstop: F:1; R:6

But you may need to adjust rear camber while running. More rear spin, increase camber. Do it on both side at the same time.

cheers!

Thanks man, I'm gonna try your setup style.... hopefully it's good.

BTW..... about my earlier problem ( the rear end chassis cannot hit the ground ). I really solved it now the manual book doesn't mentioned the length of front and rear's dogbones . I switched the dogbones and now the rear end chassis can hit the ground nicely.

lol, i never even thought about the dogbones. o well anyway you should upgrade to universals at least in the front cause youll have problems with the dogbone falling out, then losing the outdrive.

50wt is the closest. Mugen #600 comes out to about 48wt.
