To find out where it's binding, take off the middle belt and roll it. If it doesn't bind anymore you know its gotta be a problem from the front pulley to the rear. If it still binds, roll just the front half of the car and check. To check the rear? Rinse and repeat til you find where its coming from.

Make sure the brake isn't applied.

I am considering buying a MTX3 prospec for next year , how does this car hold up to the competition , NTC3 ,Serpent 710 , etc , last year was my 1st season running Nitro TC and had a blast , ran a Fact Team NTC3 and it was ok but required alot to keep it in perfect order , mainly pillow balls and front driver gears . also rumors of an MTX4 make me hesitnat on the MTX 3 , i have ran Mugen offroad cars and really liked their quality and handling .

ok, i was at the tack today and noticed i have a really bad hop. when going in a straight line like down the back straight the car will come up in the front and kinda hop down the straight. When turning the car seems to do the same thing but it hops sideways. I figure it is something bent, but i looked over the car and couldent see anything, all the axles are in good condition, one is a little bent but nothing bad that would cause this. i tried changing tires to see if it was bent rim, but i got the same reslt. the only thing that seems out of wack is the front one way seems to move side to side about 1mm. other than that i dont see what the problem could be. any suggestions are appreciated.

Increase Shock oil or perhaps a softer or harder springs.

Check that the dogbones haven't worn notches in the outdrives.
That makes 'em hop.

I have seen the hexes rounded off enough to turn the hex inside the wheel The wheel was spinning inside hex. Just a thought. Since replaced with The alum. hexes. Check that.

I've had this happen and it does make the front end hop. If thats what it is, you can just flip the outdrives to the other side until you can get new ones.

Here's what mine looked like.

Q1. Can I use tamiya ceramic grease for rear diff ? ( I want almost tight rear diff ).

Q2. Do you know the weakest part in MTX3 prospec ? I mean I have to replace that parts quite often, perhaps due to wear and tear or damage after a bad hit ?

Thank you people, sorry to ask so many.... , coz my first engine car

The only thing I need to replace on a regular basis is belts! I broke a rear bulkhead once due to a hard crash and maybe an arm here or there.
