Titanium is actually somewhat brittle (hard but doesn't bend well). Most if not all of the Ti parts in the RC industry are an alloy of steel and Ti. Use cheap steel and the part won't last.

If it's magnetic it's probably not very good.

Vadn1, ditto that, man! I use the MTX3 reciever guard on my RR Evo and I put an HPI rx cover over it as well, yet lots of tiny [email protected]# and foam still make their way to my reciever.

I was thinking about finding a box large enough the house the receiver and some wires, servo, bat extension, and transponder wire. Then shoe goo'ing the box together and shoe goo'ing the box to the receiver mount on the car. There has to be something.

Hey Guys,

There is a receiver case out there that will do the job, I use it and it keeps the receiver nice and dry.

K FACTORY RECEIVER HOUSING SET

http://www.microtechracing.com/

I turned the supplied receiver protector around and glued the case to the side, works well, have had no receiver issues all year..Since I bought this.

All the best ,

Yeah, I believe there's something out there. My wife wonders why I'm always scavengering around HomeDepot and looking at packaged products just for the lexan shape. I once kept my reciever in my jacket pocket of weeks hoping to find a good home for it.

The HPI cover works ok. I now put double-sided tape on the inside of it to keep most stuff out. It might be to big for your Futaba, though. But if I need to change frequencies last minute before a main, it's a beeatch.

I'll keep ya posted if I find something.

While doing a search, i came across 2 potential cases that might work.

Associated TC3 receiver box

Trinity Receiver case

Same idea Neoracer has, turn the box shoe goo, the box in desired position.

Vadn1, I customized the Trinity one to my V-One RR (set it up like the Reflex) and it worked but the lid didn't exactly fit the housing perfectly. It's pretty heavy too. The Ass. box is to big too.

Thanks, Neo. I knew our boys would pull through!

Cartman! That would be awesome if you can send us a pic. I tried Neo's link and my browser can't get the picture for some reason. And send us the film canister shot too. I like the lightness sound of that mod.

Hi vadn1
That trinity case is the very same as the one I use. However I seldom have to change crystals.
There is also a crystal extender you can get that plugs into receiver with about a 2-inch wire and a crystal holder at the other end. Then you should never have to open the case. This also helps as dirt is very good at sealing the seems, When you clean the car just gentle wipe the case and when possible leave it closed for as long as possible.

I also use a switch with a charger jack also so that I donít have to the receiver case.

Thatís my game anyway; I went from lots of problems to none!

All the best,

I think I will pick up both boxes and see which one fits nicer and is easier to work with. by the sizes I see on the tower site, the associated seems to be best and it has that filp up lid. I will have to try and see.

The price of the assoiciated box is good $3.00 compared to trinitys $15.00
