Default Transponder mount AND switch mount

I just did this today. I was looking for a way to use both the transponder mount and the switch mount on my MTX-3. I mounted the trans mount in the normal position. Then I placed the switch mount upside down above the trans mount. I used 2 longer screws to mfasten them in the oem holes. It seems to work really nice. I didn't like not having a switch and I didn't want to drill any unneccesary holes. If someone has already posted this I appologize for the repeat. Hopefully someone else will find this as useful as I have. Here are a couple of pics of the final result.

One more pic. It might affect CG a bit but it seems worth it...?

INCORRECT......They mix well.. I am running sirio's (sometimes with a nova carb from an MT12). You do have the brake-rub problem if you are not careful during installation. You must slightly rotate the carb to gain clearance. In-fact...the previous owner of my "used" carb didn't understand this and there is a groove worn in the mid-range needle side of the carb, just below the screw......gives some additional clearance....

Are the MRX belts softer than the standard MTX ones?

I found the best way is as follows. Run a large zip tie from the tank lid to the rear shock tower. Secure the zip tie to the rear shock tower. Keep it fairly tight. You will notice that the zip tie runs past the cutout in the rear window. Reach through the rear window with one hand and grab the zip tie and lift the car. When you do this the tank flips open pretty much vertical and you can hold the car in the air with just the one hand. You then fuel it and drop it back onto the track and the tank snaps closed.
Yeah... I've sen lots of people using this method, but not in MTX3 because there is nowhere in the rear shock tower for you to secure your zip-tie...

The stock MTX3 and the Prospec use the exact same battery packs because they are identical cars just one has more hopup addons.

Trying to figure which way to go on an engine here. Just looking to have fun does not have to be Roar sactioned. I have heard the Mugen XS.12 is a solid runner and hold a tune well or there is the Novarossi NSR.12S5. Which one if any has more potential?

Mugen I can pick up for $299
Novarossi for $245

Thanks!

I don't know whether they're softer, the case with the front one is that it's much wider than the stock front belt.
