Thanks Ah10,
I've already decreased rear toe and narrowed the front a bit but we're currently running the B block. I'll give the "A" a go. I would love to get too much steering.

This'll be a change - with the Kyosho, we were always chasing rear end traction.

You might try putting gray springs in the rear with the stock light blue front springs. I get the rear to rotate like that.

The only thing is that it is a little stiff- it's a little thicker than Mugen's stock side belt. The next weekend while at the track, I compared it to the one that is sold on E-Bay (another racer had one) and the quality of the teeth on the belt did not look as good as on the Traxxas belt.

I don't have the part # handy, but I'll post it as soon as I get back to work later this week. Your LHS should be able to look it up and order one for you.

Like I said, it's a bit stiffer than Mugen's stock belt, but until Mugen Racing get Kawahara's low friction conversion belt back in stock it will have to do.

Ed that is fantastic.

Is there a way to make belts softer, any type of chemical. Also some of the electric racers cut teeth off of the pulleys, with that work here....?

Thanks guys for the info... I was told Kawahara's pulley conversion comes the the side belt... That Traxxas side belt might be worth looking into for those who already have the 16/19 conversion... I called Nitro house as well.. Didn't have it there either... I've never been an ebay person... But I guess I'll have to give it a try...

Default Prospec

I have noticed alot of you guys have been busy building the Prospec. I am about to get one myself (should be here this week I hope), and was wondering what complications you have had or any advice in setting this up? I have an MTX-3, but I did not build it myself and since I am enjoying this car alot I want to build it from scratch so I know how to fix it. Thanx

You could try a .15 size gasket.

Default Kawahara Low friction belt

Couple questions here:

1. Will this belt work well with a 19t & 16t setup or am I on the wrong belt to begin with?

2. Does anyone have the part number for it?

3. What are your thoughts on the latest Team Int. tire truer.

Lastly I'm brand new to on road. This is my first car it's a Mugen MTX3 Prospec. So far I have ordered quite a bit form 3 Racing and K factory. I tried to pick up as much CF as I could then bought every pulley and gear I could find. Was building this car and ran into all this plastic stuff ( gears & pulleys ) as well as the diff. case. and thought oh well all that has to go. I'm running nothing but Fast tires for it. I'm buying 2 painted bodies from Shop UFO that I came across from this site. Looks real cool.

Thanks,

Pretty cool site!

One palce to buy real sweet bearing or I would think the best anywhere is: Boca Bearings You have a high end engine treat it with a high temp ultimate ceramic bearing. I just bought the Mugen X12 and have just sent it out to be modified by a Serpent team driver out of Austin TX. I here it's supose to be ballistic.

All I have at the moment is the Mugen belts trying to fgure which way to go or what belts are the best to buy for this car.

E mail this guy for the Kawa 16/19 belts, I've ordered from him a couple of times, and he has fast friendly service.
