Hum... interesting, mine survived after a few hits, but not like hard hit right one the wheel while I am turning it, kind of like bouncing off the rail and such.

Default short track engine???

tight curves one maybe two straightaways but very fast, any suggestions on a motor that isnt overkill in the $$$ dept, but good enough to be competitive?

Default no rules

not a stricked track, 1/10 nitro and begginer, sportsman, and pro classes.

the guy that shreddedd the otherguys last week was running a g4 with a $150 nova he said so ports dont matter i just want the best i can get.

it would be nice to have something different tho, like a JP, or sirio. everyone is running novarossi here.

any info is helpful

If that's the case I would strongly recommend STS either D3 or D5, excellent for the money!

Switched to the Mugen's and inflicted some pain on the car myself and they held up fine.
I do agree that CVD's are a must, unless like someone else here said, you like walking the track looking for your bones and outdrives.
First race with the car, 4th in the "B" had a great time, first 20min main ever. I came from an electric background, so that was 4 times longer that I ever raced before.
Oh, and by the way, the snakes got eaten up, but the one guy out there with an NT3 (i think that right) was haulin butt, won the "A" but only because the fastest Mugen broke the front end.
That's great for the first race! Do you have the final standings? Wanna see how the locals finished. I was going to watch but it was too damn hot!

Perhaps an RB V12 would suit, still a nova really but they look good. I use a Rody modified one but a novice would be well served with the standard donk.

gentleman81;

how big is the track? how much tuning experience do you have?

If your looking for an easy motor to tune but still good on a small track and something you don't see everyday go with an OS TR

I'm running a RB X12 and it really rocks. As do most Rossi based motors. That's why people use it to race.
