Well, if you bought the 4mm chassis and front and rear universals would cost you approx. $130. Those are the two things I probably would have gotten anyways. The titanium pieces, 0.8 gearing and other stuff are all bonuses in my opinion. That is the reason why I chose the prospec over the regular mtx3.
I was considering the G4 until I heard the about Trinity dropping them. And I don't want to go to TC3 at the moment.

personal transmitter
Try checking with fellow racers at your track, I found many of them have extra personal transmitters. Don't know why, but they do. That is how I got my new one last year for $50.
Prices on those have gone up from last year.

Thanks for your info. I might get one.

You're right, they were random. I was one of the first to have the MTX-3, and mine came with the 5 port MR12 turbo. I've been told this was a fluke, but who cares !!! All I've seen them get otherwise were the 3 port MR12 & MT12 engines.

Guys I know this is the MTX3 thread but I need some help. I bought a used MTX2 in good condition to try it out . It came without instructions and I have the rear diff out to change the fluid. This sounds stupid I know but I can't figure out how to get the halves apart. I took the 4 small screws out, but I see no bolts or screws in the outdrives to open up the halves. I tried the Mugen site but found no info. This is the first diff I have ever seen like this. I feel like it wants to be pried apart but I do not want to mess it up. Any ideas? thanks Kevin Mac.
The 4 screws is all that's holding it together.
Take it by the two outdrives and PULL.
The previous owner might have used some kind of sealant, so PULL

prospec
gentleman81: Yes, I'm getting one. Just have to wait for it come in though. This was not an easy choice as I was prepared to run the GS the whole season until part support went south.
Thank everyone on this board for the comments, pictures, and advice.
Yeah, the price just for the titanium pillow (pivot) balls are insane. Hope I don't break any

Kevin,
MTX-2 is still a Mugen Family. Let me know your mailing address, and I will send you a copy of MTX-2 Manual.

I do hope more than just that. I hope these Ti pillow balls will last all the way to MTX-10!!!
FYI, they don't BREAK, but BEND, so be do be very careful.
