Almost stock gearing on 0.8 module is 20/26 with 59/54T If not remember bad.

is there an advantage in using the .8 module? is it like using 64pitch gears in EP cars, more efficiency? or is it to adjust the final drive ratios more closely?

Has anyone here run rubber tires on their MTX3? I know the MTX3 comes with foamies, and it's probably designed with using foamies in mind, but (other than the normal differences between foam and rubber) would there be any negative side effects to running rubbers on the MTX3? Thanks.

speedydave, there is no problem running rubber tires on the mtx3. you should remove the front one way and install a front diff. a good starting point is 20 to 30k diff oil in front and 5 to 7k in rear. also, go with softer springs front and rear. i followed associated's rubber setup for the ntc3. copper front and gold rear.

i found that the power band seems to be smoother, and my top end was higher.

Setup

I have a question.

When reading from a setup sheet that you need 3 degrees of toe in does this mean you need 3 degrees on each side? Or a total of 3 degrees (1.5 on each side)?

mtx3racer 02-05-2004 12:16 PM

3 degrees on each side
