Hint: Giving a score over 325 is cheating...

Correct setting for clutch spring tension.

How do you guys set your spring tension? I read earlier this week that you use the clutch tool to tighten the spring until it bottoms out, then release two full turns. Is this correct?

By the way, I am using the harder spring along with the lighter flyweights, grey shoe and 0.5mm end play.

there is a small hole on the clutch bell next to the bigger pinion. you may use a harden wire to insert to it and adjust spring tension by turning the flywheel. we normally dont measure by "number of turn out" but we usually measure how much thread of the engine nut you can see in mm. good starting point is 0.7 to 0.8mm.

the harder the clutch spring will give you more engine stress. so far, i am quite happy with the stock clutch spring (gold color). your 0.5mm end play is a bit too much together with your harder spring and will cuz too much engine over rev before clutch engage. I have been using 0.3mm end play and it gives very good performance with the red mugen clutch pad.
