you can fit the Mugen purple ones onto the MTX3 too if you are not going to wait for the kawa ones.

Use the tapered collet from the kit not the one from the engine, I use the smallest amount of threadlock on the motor shaft thread but that is up to u. Once the shoes are fitted, place the bell on the shaft with the 5x10 bearings in place. If the bell rubs on the clutch use enough shims to prevent the bell contacting the shoe, you should not be able to turn the motor over when you push the bell in and rotate it, this sets the clearance on the inside.
Now the end float has to be set, with the thrust bearing in place on the collared shaft trial fit and test the end play, use shims until the clearance is about .3mm.

Is the clutch the same as supplied mith mtx2 prospec? The mtx2 manual says nothing about shims on the inside of the clutch bell. The motor cannot provide drive until the bell is pushed out against the thrust bearing can it?
Is there any reasons you would want more or less slop in clutch bell?
All info appreciated!

ACS:

Have you also changed camp from Yokomo? I know Jeff Knib, Karl Lee & Wade have them?

I might just have to come out? Is this the last meet for this year?

Yes I have moved camps. And I am very impressed so far. Also changed motor brands.

We are going to run every friday night till the start of next year.

I got tired of the old cars issues. Do you mean Kieth Mackrel? If so he's a Kyosho man anyway.

I put a new Novarossi S3 in the new MTX-3. A perfect match.

Racing starts around 6:00.

Remeber to bring your car and race.

Yes Keith Mackrel, He is Mr Yokomo since buying your old electric. I tried to convert him to associated, but to no avail.

The gearing options for this car are more than most mortals can cope with. It is suitable for a wide variety of tracks. Enough about gearing O.K.

The geometry of this car is designed around 2mm offset rims, vary this to your detriment.
