more ackerman will make the car turn more aggressivly into the corners and less will do the opposite.

the blocks in the rear change the "anti squat" the more you have the less traction out of a corner. If you run less you will gain traction out of the corner but the car may act funny under breaking

If you run the MTX-3 I would suggest the "B" front and rear blocks

I just got the car yesterday and started to build it last night. The setup sheet calls for the "A" in the front. Not sure what the rear is, I haven't got that far yet. How do the letters correspond to the angles? Is "A" the most or least Ackerman?

I'm hoping some can hook me up with the kit# for the mtx-3 with engine. I'm going to get one for x-mas and i going to me retire the gt-4r and ntc3. But i can't find the number for my lhs shop to order it. Thanks for any help. Chris

"A" provides the greatest amount of Ackerman. There is only one peice to change when you alter the ackerman so I think you have things mixed up when you are asking about the rear. The rear does have an adjustment for roll center. If that is what you are thinking about, you simply use the peices with corresponding letters(i.e. B-B, A-A, C-C). This is an improvement from the system used on the MRX-3 with 4 different letters.

The part number for the kit w/ engine is T0023. Order from Speedtech, they are great. Phone-in, walk-in, or online, you can do it either way. www.speedtechrc.com

Christop- One more thing I forgot to mention is that if you order out of state, you can avoid paying sales tax. On an item as much as this kit, tax can add up to quite a sum.

If it is like the MRX-3, A is the least ackerman slowest, and C is the most, fastest. Most of us MRX-3 drivers use the B block and I am not sure about the MTX-3 but I find it hard to believe it would be different.

Tenesseee, for the rear blocks they are just roll center adjustments that raise/lower the roll center. It would be anti-squat if you were to mix and match the blocks to get an angle on the hinge pins. I have never seen anybody do this intentionally in an on-road car but it is common in off-road.

In addition to the roll center blocks, the spacers under the rear upright pivots also adjust roll center and greatly affect camber gain.

hey, this thing is amazing, im almost done building it, and wow, compared to an mtx-2, this thing is in a league of its own!!

question, on the rear I arms, there are 2 setscrews on each arm, one above, and one below, what is the purpose of them, and how much should they be screwed in?

i dont know about ackerman i think it is the relationship between the wheels in a turn i think zero ackerman and both wheels turn equally but i do know about the screws in rear arms they limit the travel of suspension one is droop the other is bump stop i personally dont use them and leave them flush with arm but use the one that threads through from top to adjust droop and the other so chassis doesnt bottom out improperly adjusted you can really screw up the way the car handles i always used shock length to set droop and just let chassis bottom out

Uh no the blocks in the rear are for anti squat and they do change the the angle of the pins

the way you change roll center is by changing the length of the camber rod or moving it to a another hole location or by adding or removing the shims under the stud that the camber link connects to

If you want to confirm this ask or call Robbie @ Mugen Seiki
