in addition to my question above, what is the difference between an RS12 S3 and an NS12 S3 ???

On the NovaRossi site, they say the NS12 S3 has a turbo head, but SpeedtechRC is selling one that is listed as non turbo... what is going on here?

That's a brief statement

Why don't you give us a bit more detail about why you feel that the NS is a better engine?

Default Why NS12

The NS12 is better in several ways. First and foremost it is made using a new technique which allows a better piston sleeve fit. It took me a good half a gallon to get the motor broken in, and today after 3 + gallons it keeps getting faster, and that includes a gallon of 40%. The motor also has more power than any other motor I have had, great bottom end and amazing top speed. Of course it's not stock. I still don't think you can beat the modified Sirio for the money, but the NS is the fastest of the fast.

The difference between the RS12S3 and the NS12S3 is that the NS12 has a larger diameter crank shaft and different size bearings (more top speed) and the NS12 uses a better manufacturing process to make the piston sleeve fit better. The S3 is a great motor, but the NS12 is better. I have had both. As far as I know the 3 port NS12's come with standard head button, and the 5 ports come with turbo.
