tried this red pad from mugen for a few week ends. like the way and feel good about the throttle response it provides. power deliver is more linear and ease on engine. a good option for upgrading.

Default Kreidel

MUGENs are great cars out of the box and that is very true. Tight tracks try the following if you are on a front diff:

Front droop: 1
Back droop: 4
Front shocks: 40 weight oil with purple springs
Rear shocks: 40/50 weight oil with purple springs
Tires: run on 32 shore!!! Hahahaha ... seriously 40/40 is nice
Bump stop: forget all that, look at the TC3
Anti roll: front - flat; back - standard
Caster: give a little more to the front according to your liking
Tow in: front - 0 to 1 degree; rear - 2 degrees
Camber: front - 1 to 2 degrees; back - 3 degrees
Spur: drop your gear ratio on your first speed a bit to get more oomph on your first speed.

Default Chris and your new MTX3

Chris, I run grey springs in the rear to help get rid of some push. In front I run the stock blue springs. And try 42 front and 37 rear tires, with the fronts 2mm smaller than the rears.

Do i need to add shim for T5 S1 engine? I heard it overhead the engine if i don't add shim? If i need it, what size of shim i need to get ? 0.1 or 0.2 ?

I have the NS S5 that I broke in yesterday and put some laps on today. It ran cool and fast. No sign of overheating. Running around 170 and already more motor than I need.

All depends on which type of fuel you use (Nitro Percentage) and how many shims come now. Tell us more info about this.

Hi,

I run 20% nitro fuel. It is brand new engine and have not start yet, I don't know how many shim come from stock.

Should i run it first and see if i need to add a shim or better have it first before i start?

Default SHIMS

Shims are used to lower the compression a bit when the engine is new. Use a 0.2 for a start, best to just keep with what it comes with. When the engine reaches its end you will need to add shims to ensure better idling, true it lowers the compression but it allows the engine to idle better.

Don't touch the shims from the start, probably your temp problems are due to a faulty break-in or a too lean low-end needle (what's your temp?)

What is a faulty break in? I didn't know that you can mess up the breaking process? Reason I ask is because I'm in the process of breaking in a motor. Thx.
