Easy, first check what pinion & spur combo are you using and select it on the chart, for example 16/47 & 20/42:

Go firstly at the main column where 16T pinion is and select then the 47T gear.

After this, you need to know what diameter of tires are you using and select on the horizontal line the diameter in milimeters. Cross the vertical with the horizontal and you will get a value. This value is on milimeters how much your car advances.

As you go wearing the tyres, this value changes, check with the table if for getting the same (or almost the same rollout) you need to change gearing.

The rear blocks are A , B and C.

A = low roll center
B = Mid Roll Center
C = High roll center

C will give you the most rear bite.
I am having a little bit of trouble understanding this roll center concept. From what I am reading, higher roll center move the RC closer to the CG, thus the car will roll less. If the car roll less, doesn't it lose traction? Or it is the other way?

Thanks.

Because of the top heavy nature of nitro cars, they use higher roll centers than electric cars to prevent too much roll. Higher roll centers also allows the use of softer spring rates.

Assuming all other settings remain constant. If you just change the rear rc, ie raise it by using the C block, doesn't it reduce rear bite because the car will now resist roll better? As the car roll less, less traction will be gained from the tires.
Please correct me if I am on a wrong track.

the car will have more chasis roll with
the c block (higher roll center) and should
hold more corner speed on lower track
conditions.

(on a different note RD logics just released
a heavy duty cvd for the mtx3)

check out the web site rdlogics.com
