Well I have an answer for you, in my 21 years of racing, and 1 or 2 runaways, the reason your car is faster when it is out of radio is that it is lighter. Without those heavy radio waves to slow down the car it can achieve terminal velocity.

Hi Ron,

How heavy is the radio wave? Perhaps, I should consider putting my radio wave on diet, huh?

It's simply because it was radio "controlled". If it were out of control, of course, it would've gone faster.

Just like a fish, it swims slow in a fishtank, but once it gets loose in the open water, it'll be fast...

So, a Piranha could be a Pacu in a fishtank, but don't mess with it in the open water, for it could turn from being a Pacu to a Red Belly Piranha.

I'm not surprised! Get yourself a new car like the one he got, and you may want to consider changing your avatar to a cuter one like his.

Thats how i fixed mine, i just plugged it in for a couple seconds so it would be plastic-melting warm ( not solder melting warm ) and played with the seam until i got rid of the pinhole

stick with the mugen universals. I've seen the aftermarket universals snap and break.

i used a 80w iron and melt the joints at max temp.
and don't over tighten the tank

for universals i am using the mugen ones and they are pretty good
