Default Servo

Hey Eddie, it's too early for a siesta!!

I fried another Hitec servo yesterday.... just before the main

I was using the Hitec HS945MG for the throtle and stop working... w/o a logic explanation. It is the third one in the last 2 years.

I am planning to change brands.... so i decided to ask you guys what would be my best option.

My steering servo is a JR 8450

use grommets and small size tie wrap to fasten your throttle servo. it is the possible to make your throttle last !!

Futaba without any doubt.... probably Hitec are cheaper, but they broke more usually and need to buy more units, so the 'tactical cheaperness' is eliminated. Futaba 9450 for steering, 9402 for throttle/brake.

I'm using this combo for many many time and they continue working as the first day.

Car don't needs hop-ups to be better, only that is usually required are front CVD's (choose the Mugen ones, more expensive but more durable than others), but put the hop-ups you'll like or prefeer.

May put something like:
- 3Racing lightweight pulley holders (lighter).
- 3Racing lightweight 1st and 2nd gear housing (lighter).
- 3Racing engine brace (stiffer).
- Square hollow main shaft (lighter).
- Kawahara aluminium hex drives (better than the plastic ones).

Hop-ups are many and in several brands to choose from, but very few are really needed (you may know.... shinier cars are faster ).

Better hop-up is the practice and a right setup of the car, none more needed. Check your car as in stock incarnation and see for yourself.

As spare parts, will not hurt your pocket carrying a set of front uprights, front A-arms, rear uprights and rear a-arms, is the most prone to breaking (you can complete it with a set of front and rear bulkheads and you need to crash very hard to need some other parts).

Yea, I think I know what you mean about the hop-ups on the MTX3. Its just I see everyone here have alot of hop-ups on their MTX! Just wondering if the car needs it or they just want to have a HPI wannabie.
