I'd just like to find out the config on 0.8 ones that will yield a close result.

Depending on the tracks where I'm I swap from 16/20, 16/21 or 17/21 on pinions.

Usually to fine-tune I move from 47/43 to 47/44 or 46/43. Only used one time 42T spur, shifting was a little sluggish.

BTW: You don't need to worry about meshing. 17/21 combo has the same diameter as 16/20, only changes a little the profile of the teeth. 17 & 21 pinions mesh perfectly.

I can answer this question myself now, no need MY FRIEND's help.

with 0.8, I'll have to use:

21/28 58/54

In comparison to:

17/22 47/42

I think it is more likely to have a tire truer showing 0.5 mm scale !!

but anyway, tell me where to get a scale with 0.5mm split first !

Just apply Rounding rules: 21/27 & 59/52.... easy. (Because I haven't seen never a 58.5 Tooth spur.

If they make it, and if you need speed, go for it. I think I've seen O'Donnell 40%. Try that.
