Robbie, I meant no disprespect to you or anyone else on a personal level when i made those comments. It was more tounge and cheek. But yeah, I think the website could be better. I'm not sure if you agree with that, but as a fan of RC and a participant in the hobby I think I have a right to comment on the product, wether that be the actual product or the websites supporting and show casing the product. I'm sure you can agree with that. Moreover, please dont stop posting. I think the vast majority of us would welcome and appreciate your expertise and insider knowledge. Dont feel slighted by any of the comments made in here, I think alot of it needs to be taken in context, and again, I dont think anyone meant any disrespect.

Thanks, please keep posting.

P.S. the car looks awesome. Any further thoughts or insights into the cars performance? How much better is it than the MTX2?? I mean, based on your personal experience on the track.

Cool I'm over it.
I really like the way this car transsitions fron right to left and I also think the over all performance is better do to the low CG's in the car, you can drive more aggressive with control.

Bottom end seems to be better because of smaller flywheel.
Topend seems to be better because of final drive, of coarse you need to use different gears at least their avalible.

What I can't under stand is the front diff grears not being in the kit, that really bites but what can you do?
confused:

As for the on off switch there is a option, eather you use transponder bracket or switch holder trust like on the MRX-3.

Someone asked about running this car with rubber tires, I think it would work just fine, remeber this if your car works good with rubber then it will work great with foam.

Robbie hi there it was me who asked about rubber
I race for the Uk team (finished 15th in the uk) and am waiting my new mtx3 i also write for one of the UK's top mag's radio race car international.
any tips you can post i would appreciate, i may also quiz you a bit if thats OK via pm

ps i wish i could get your job in this country!!!

have you tried rubber tyres yet?(you have answered) as we run these in the UK
we were told it had a solid rear axle and the rear roll center/camber change was wrong for rubber, do the mtx2 rear hubs fit?
also are the gears the same or does the front diff fit and do you need to change the pulley to get the mtx3 final drive ratio?
alot i know but we all need your help

Default Robbie,

good to finally see you here and that you put an end to this gearing discussion

Now I also got a question for you:

I have my MTX2 reconfigured to a point where it's very similar to the MTX3 (before I ever saw the new car)

I have a 750 mAh AAA pack mounted on the chassis, it's not absolutely in the center but close.
I run the newer Kawahara top deck, with the receiver where the battery was before. I also have the kawahara narrow rear ed conversion (and a lot of other stuff) on the car.

Here is the question now. Do you think it will be a considerable difference between this car and the MTX3, big enough to justify a new car for me?

I have a pic of my MTX2 attached.

Thanks Robbie.

I forgot, I also have the Kaw 2 speed and the small centax flywheel.

Basically everything that the MTX3 has, except the laydown servo...

Your cars looks very good and I'm sure it runs as well as it looks.
Here's why I think change is good.
MTX-3 batteries in center, more balanced from side to side front to rear, with your setup you have to much weight forward.

Fuel tank is much lower( low CG's)
Anti squat adjustment in rear for more cornering speed.
Front bell crank steering more reactive and equal amount of steering, also (low CG's)
Different front steering angles, more or less steering reaction.
Low belt outside of chassis, low friction.
New rear sway bar more reactive because angle.
Rear uprights you can change the roll center of the car easily.
Different final drive, more straightaway speed.

The list go on, these are the things I noticed and like.
