Default Plastic Thing!

Hi Guys,

Now, now, keep your minds on RC think 'pure' thoughts!!!

I've been looking at a black plastic strip about an inch wide with N - 1 on it, what is it?

It came with the MTX-3 kit, what does it do?

Has the NS-12 been released yet? Does Mr. Lam have any?

Mr. Lam does not have any Kawahara rear sway bars, I'm holding back an order untill they come in.

Does anybody know who has them in stock?

All the best

Sorry to be the one to tell you, but that's the handle for the box your car came in!!!

Sorry, but I'm almost wetting my pants, picturing you, desperately trying to figure out where that handle goes!!

I was down at Ace Hobbies and they had the sway bars and most of the Kawahara and K-Factory parts in stock. They should have an ad. in the back of RC Car Action for their number.

As many were interested on getting some, now are about 23 belts to order, and as much we order the price is lower, so all we take the advantage.

Actual price is 4.65 Euros for each kevlar reinforced belt up to 30 units, after this, price starts to lower (don't know how much, will depend).

Is any interested on getting some of those belts? As ever, don't plan to do business, only get things at better price. PM me if interested

sorry what are the belts for?

Uhm.... US$/Euro exchange rate is of about 1.15 US$ each euro from the last time I sent some money to Mr.Lam (Wed).

363mm is the center belt and is used for the 16/19 pulley conversion.

Is for a 16/19 conversion and run different size foams (3mm split F/R) to cope with the wear of the rear tyres faster than fronts. Very interesting on Finals where you need to survive 30 or more minutes with the same tyre set.

Corse,

are you using the regular Mugen pulleys for this conversion,

a 16 tooth on the rear (transmission) and the 19 tooth on the front shaft?

After calculation 16/19 side pully will yield about 6% overdrive. So to even out the overdrive effect, we need a front to rear tire split about 3mm. (I'm not very familiar with MTX-3, please correct me if I'm wrong)

so after the 363mm belt conversion the pulleys will be as follow?

32
19 16

16 19
48

So, this conversion allows us to run a smaller (3mm) front tyres than the rear tyres to maintain the original drive ratio?

If without this conversion, and we run smaller front than rear, what are the effects on the drive ratio?

Will an MRX3 front belt fit an MTX3, if so, is it much more durable?

It will fit. But, I've never use it on my car. Heard good result from it, though.
