Default Eddie the Fish,

do you know if the Kawahara solid axle adapter can be used in the front diff as well?

Thanks,

Eddie could probably shed some light on the prices on Ebay, since he's the one selling them
i think steve of speedtechrc does offer very good price on kawahara items

Default Manufacturer defect detected.

i had my rear diff taken apart to find the answer to the 'tight rear diff'.
guess i was falling asleep when i first putting the rear diff together.
well...just found out that the one of the Cross-pin's 'cut-out' section is not centered. so when the 2 pins are laid down into the diff case, they do not match properly causing the gears to bind when the diff case fully tightened...
this is such a 'donkey' mistake by Mugen...

I have the Kawahara neg diff in my MTX-2 and I loooooooved it. I've thought seriously about buying the one for my MTX-3, but so far I don't see the need. The car performs amazingly well with the rear diff.

I've also bought the solid axle adaptor for the MTX-3 and done some testing with it. For most parking lot tracks, I think it's more of a pain in the a$$ than it's worth. There just isn't enough traction to make full use of it. Also, unless you cut the tires just right, and get tire wear just right through out a race, the overdrive gets off, which in turn makes the car really hard to drive with the solid rear. It's just not enough rubber on the rear tires (as compared to the 1/8 cars) to keep the car controllable as the overdrive changes.

Default Manticore,

yes, usually Steve has very reasonable prices for Kawahara stuff.

I can't find any of the MTX3 parts on his site though.
Also, the parts he had in the past were out of stock most of the time.

I think the US importer does not the best job getting the stuff here.
Might be Kawahara's fault as well.

It just seems that Kawahara parts are cheaper and easier to get in other parts of the world, Europe and Australia included.

Yeah I was gonna ask Manticore what are the usual prices on Kawahara,Square,Charge parts. Cuz I saw all those cool items listed on Ebay. Gotta admit those prices are a little steep. But wow, Eddie's got the hook-ups!

I think Speedtech doesn't have much in stock because of thr good prices. I prefer to order through my LHS. Sometimes i have to wait a bit but it is wirth it. (saves me $$).
I hope ETF inc. will lower the prices to make their merchandise more accesible

price or conversion rate varies here depending on the popularity of the item but not as bad as you can see on ebay.

i think Mr Lam knows the item you needed, the brand is called 'Shooter'.
i ordered from him and told him i needed the Rear sway bar 'fasteners'. It should be rather easy for him to figure out..
