Hi Speed De,

It's a great car. You won't regret! And, welcome to the MTX-3 Forum!

Don't you have problems with your transponder mounted on graphite?
Yesterday, I saw a guy with problems because he mounted his transponder on aluminum and the computer didn't counted his laps. The instructions say not to let the transponder be in contact with metal nor graphite.

Now for you all i have found the cause and how to stop your tank from splitting.

where the rubber gromets are (tank out) there and two rounded edges. file these away so the tank hole is completly square. the rear one sits on the welded joint and when the tank is fitted it touches and causeses the tank to fracture.

I 've read actually the whole forum and am quite concerned about the dogbone problem because my LHS doesn't have the hop ups for the MTX-3.

Can't because my dealer has recently started to import Mugen products but I may have to machine them myself. The bad thing is that they will be havier.

Speed de: Go to this site:

http://www.justrc.com

And order one or two sets of the universals (beware, is cheap and addictive). A pair of bags of universals costs less than a half the cost of the Mugen universals, so if you snap one, replacing it shouldn't be a big problem.

BTW: Is quite hard to read the +100 pages long, specially when we are bored and some start on chit-chat on the thread.

Agreed, I've been flipping through it as much as possible, but still, there is quite a bit of info... and chatter.

I'll have my MTX-3 ordered either tonight, or tommorow.

..and another quick question, the Mugen Power Pack 730... can I use any of the Trinity RX packs? They are 1100mah for the same price.

Default Carlsen MR-12

any of you guys ever heard of carlsern-tuned MR-12? I bought one recently as a replacement for my Sirio 5ports on my MTX3 and quite suprised with the performance. What really suprised me is.. I can get around 10mins run-time on high traction, medium size track. The performance is awesome compareable to JP or MS-tuned nova....if not better.

Yeah!, quite handy to flash and blind the competition just in the last minute This is an advantage over those guys that go with the 3PK.
