I was laboring over wether to get an NTC3 or an MTX-3 as my first nitro tourer, largley due to the fact that my lhs, Hobby People, did not carry Mugen parts, only Associated parts, but since Robby just posted that Hobby People will now carry the MTX-3 kit and parts, the choice is obvious, MTX-3 for sure.

This is a list that I've made of what I thought I'd need to get started. I'm totally new to the hobby and was just wondering if I was missing anything in my list or if some of the things in the list were unesscary. Thanks...

Mugen MTX3 /w Mugen MR12 engine
Airtronics MX3 FM 3 channel
Futaba S9451 Servo Digital High Speed/Torque (2)
Mugen 730 Power Packs (2)
Mugen Snap Ring pliers
DuraTrax Precision Car Tool Set metric 10pc
DuraTrax standard screwdriver set
DuraTrax needle nose pliers
DuraTrax heavy duty cutters
DuraTrax body reamer
DuraTrax engine tuning tool
DuraTrax lexan body scissors
Duratrax intellipeak DTXP4110 charger
Duratrax DTXP0310 Ultimate Glo-Starter C-Size
Integy Setup Station
Integy Hippo starter box + 12 volt battery
Huddy droop and ride height gauges
Huddy set up board + decals 1/10th scale
Raytek MiniTemp MT4
Olfa circle cutter
Mugen fast tires (4 pairs)
Protoform Vauxhall Vectra 200mm
Mugen carrying bag

misc:

screw lock tight
non digital calipers
engine after run oil
extra air filters
air filter oil
paint mask
lexan paint
extra glow plugs
break in fuel/racing fuel

Long list I know, I wanted to make sure I had everything that I needed and wouldnt have to go back out to my lhs several times to get stuff that I should have gotten initially. Anyways, any suggestions or tips would be very welcome. Thanks...I'm sure I'm gonna be posting alot of questions in the coming months...

btw, in my list I put down for my servo choice, Futaba S9451 digital servos. Ideally those are the servos that I'd want, but I was just wondering what a good cheaper alternative would be? Maybe some mid ranged non digital servos, that have good torque and good speed, but are less expensive. Thanks again...

JustRC,

Are they actually going to be the Square Ti screws? If so, I'll buy a set. $60?

The Kawahara doesnt seem that impressive.

Here is what I have if you've never seen it.
I'd love to know the weight difference between the Kawahara, AIP, and Danielson adaptors. I've got the AIP and it is considerably lighter than the stock gears. I still think the best option is a machined spool axle similar to the Kawahara solid rear axle for the MTX-2. That was the ticket!!!!

I have AIP adaptor and will later get a hold of the Kawahara's one. I hope DanielSon would send me free one, so that I can compare the weight for you.

Better yet, Manticore, can you weigh the Kawahara's Solid Adaptor for kevink2 please?
