Hi Guys,

The word from Mugen is we will have the new MTX-3 in less than one week. We started a pre-order on our website, pricing is available right now, we will know the specs once we get the car in, but so far from the pictures, the car looks awesome!

Thanks

Mugen's are winning on the big tracks in Europe, so the gearing can't be that far off.

I'm sure they'll offer a few more gearing choices, although 99% of the racers will never need them.
It is the current club and state champion at our track below...Is this big enough for you

As far as I know, what you see in the picture (parts wise) should be included in kit. We are also working on trying to bring in spare parts at the same time, so you guys can have spares ready once you get the car up and running

nytrochaos,

Once we get the car kit in, we will be filling pre-orders right away, so if you're wondering if it will make it before the 30th, then the answer is yes (of course assuming everything is on schedule at Mugen)

Thanks

Not sure exactly how long the straight is. It is 291metres in total. Most MTX-2 drivers run 18/22, 47/43 gearing. The car holds the lap records in both IFMAR and Outlaw events.

291 meters!!! Thats like bigger than any other track that i have heard of by at least like 200 meters! Thats around 900 feet long for the straight!

This seems unbelievable, please reassure me before I start dreaming about how many conrods would be snapped on that straight away!
I definitely wish I could go to a track that was so professional.

It appears that the gearing is basically the same, as Robbie stated.

The new rumour is that Mugen USA with some kind of possible relationship with Speedline, will be producing a kit that will allow taller gearing.

I will have access (hopefully) to an MTX-3 on Sunday for pictures. Check my site for details as they become known.

Team Mugen in the States must be really lousy then. The claimed that they did not perform because of gearing issues on the MTX-2. I should have known better than to have to trust them

Yep! a fourth or fifth gear would be mandatory on a 900ft straight. Yikes!
