Robbie, congrats about your position at the Winternats (yes, I know you're tired of hearing/reading the same, but.... ) to the 'business'...

What about the Mugen 4mm chassis? I find that I've stiffened enough the rear portion of the car, but planning to put on the track a second chassis with Lola body and wanted to know about the optional chassis.

Any throughts if Mugen plan to release a floating rear body mount or need to do some bricolage like the photo that posted Manticore on the past days?

You should try running the stock setup and see how you like it. I believe it's A in front for the ackerman and B-B in the rear.

Hi Robbie,

Hope you can answer these 3 questions I have regarding your WinterNats setup ;

1. Yourself/Kenji/Tim all opted for the optional H0767 Super Hard clutch spring over the standard kit spring - What was the reason for this? Any input on feedback on this would be great

2. I noticed you and Tim were using Red Clutch shoes - I take it these are harder than the standard black shoes - Are these Mugen products?

3. Did you guys play around with the different ackerman and rear block adjustments? Any info on how the other ones felt?

Thanks

Hey, what a coincidence! I too am using the "super hard spring" and the red clutch shoe although I haven't had a chance to really test it out. I am using it because I feel my motor has no bottom end power and it is too much to sacrafice gearing. The red clutch shoe is made by Delta and it lasts longer than the stock shoe. It is definately harder to the touch but I personally did not notice a difference in performance, only in longevity.

if i am remembering correctly

ankerman a=most steering c=least steering

maybe i should say responsive steering

a blocks in rear roll center=less rear traction and c= most rear traction

am i right? i hope so

i know somebody out there knows for sure
