Hey guys, I also have an MTX-3 for sale. Extra parts. no servos or a motor. Car was run all season at Blue Diamond. Perfectly maintained. E-mail me for pics and such. I will have it up for sale this evening in the for sale section. I will place a link for it then.

If you Dremel out part of the lower arm on the MTX-3 Just how there is a spot on the MTX4-R you can use the T0138-B. This gives you a ton of steering. Something the MTX-3 does not have. It also helps reduce the understeer the MTX-3 is known for. I can take a pic of the lower arm I modified if anyone wants to see. Also try the wheel base mod. This shortens the wheelbase and also reduces understeer. I have the instructions somewhere on my computer if anyone wants me to send them.

Thanks for the correction 20 smoke! Sorry for the confusion I mixed up the part numbers on my previous post. Yeah I'm looking for T0138 for the MTX3.

I had heard that T0164 can fit the MTX3 but I would rather just get the correct replacement part. Like 20smoke said, I only mess around at the track and Im not competitive so I would prefer to fix the car with the appropriate part number.

Thanks again for everyone's input!!

Al

I will take pics when I get home this evening, and I will post the instructions on how to do the modifications.

My MTX-3 will also be up for sale later this evening. It already has the the modifications complete. I will post a link for it in the For Sale section.

the only difference between the clutch on the mtx4 and the mtx3 is the bell and the clutch nut, however if you use mtx4 steel gears on your mtx3 you will be undergeared since up to 24t exists, and the mtx3 uses normally 27t.
assuming of course that youre using .8 spurs
