Thanks heaps for the gear info guys. I'll play around with that rollout and work it from there. BLKNOTCH try RC-Mushroom, they sell the GP hump packs for the MTX-3, they are 1100MAH, $20 US or there abouts.

Cheers
Adrian

So why do so many people say the MTX-3 is outdated compared to the MTX-4 and MTX-4R? I have had a MTX-4 next to my MTX-3 and did not really see a huge difference. From what I understand the MTX-4s and 4Rs handle so much better and so on. Can anyone explain why?? I happen to think my MTX-3 handles like a dream.

Thank you.

It's geometry things that makes mtx3 lamer than mtx4.

eg. mtx4 can turn with faster cornering speed in middle and tight corner, while mtx3 has tendency to push ( understeering ).

Hey I was wondering what pack was it that fit the MTX-3 on their site? From what I can tell it is the GP 1100 mah hump pack, Part #RCM-098. Is that the correct pack?

Thank you!

It the 1100 AAA hump pack for the MTX3 so yes I believe that would be correct.

You generally need to go little lighter than the MTX4 due to differences in geometry and being able to overdrive the MTX4.

Default mtx/mrx question

Hello all, I'm a newb to this site but not to R/C. Have a question about transmissions. Is there anyone who knows if the mtx3/4 gear housings will fit a mrx3? If not does anyone know where I can find the .8 module (fine tooth) gears for the mrx3.

any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
