Sorry, I don't know the exact numbers.

Just make sure the longer universals go to front, and the shorter go to rear.

Finally got the car out to the track this past Saturday and it ran great. I was happy with the car but my driving was another story. It was tough out there and I was all over the place the first few laps. Got the jitters out and I was finally able to get around the track without hitting the boards. I immediately noticed I wasn't shifting into second gear but after a quick inspection I realized my 2 speed clutch shoe was totally worn out. Got a new one on order. Kept running the rest of the day with only first gear and the car was doing great around the turns and handling was on point. Couldn't really open the engine up down the strait but had a lot of fun anyways. Cant wait to get back out in a few weeks after the repairs. Overall the car performed well for its age and with some more fine tuning I think it will be ready for an upcoming club race.

Nah, just more spare parts... One MTX3 is enough for me. Got a new baby at home so cant upgrade to a new MTX4 yet. Need the $$ for pampers and formula! Once hes old enough he will inherit the MTX3 and I will be forced to upgrade!

Hey guys, my dad is running an MTX-3 with a pull start engine and he's having problems with the car pushing the front so he's not getting any traction. also he's under steering a lot. We run on a Tight track with medium grip and medium surface.
His setup is
Front Differential: 50,000 weight oil
Front shocks: blue springs, 35 weight shock oil
A Ackerman
Caster clip things put all to the front
Rear Differential: 30,000 weight oil
Rear shocks: purple springs, 35 weight shock oil
Roll center block A
Front camber: 1 degree in
Front Toe: 1 degree out
Rear camber: left 2.5 right 2.0
Rear toe: 3 degree in
I also forgot to mention that he is running a 4mm chassis, and we do run on a tight track so i think we find the 4mm too stiff, maybe thats part of the under steering issue.

any help will be appreciated
cheers,
Tim

How small is the track?

Use the purple sprins on the front of the car, and the light blue on the rear.
I ran the MTX3 on parking lot tracks and on perm. tracks. Use the stock setup on the car, you might want to us a lighter front diff oil (30,000).
If the car wants to under steer on power, limit the front droop

What type of tires rubber/foam shore rating ect........your set up looks good could just be to hard of a shore upfront.

Also check your front sway bar setting, for a small track make sure it is horizontal more steering and not perpendicular less steering.

I have two MTX-3 prospec a small track and a large track version both with the 4mm chassis the only difference in the cars are diff/one-way, softer vs. harder springs. I run foams and tune to the track some times 40/40 40/38 ect.........

also i would chang the rear blocks with a parking lot you don't want A's go with B or C. once you get the car better if you are loose on power with low traction go C in the front of the rear hing pins and B rear

Look through those images, this is the track we race on.
We run 40 shore foams front and rear. No stabilizer bars as it makes the car too stiff for this track.

Also try standing the front and rear more up right. You can use a softer front tire, I will post a setup I used on my MTX3 that works realy well. I ran on a track very similar.
