Default MTX3 Shoks

Does anyone on here know if the MTX4 and 3 run the same shocks? Also would like to buy a set if anyone has any or knows where I can find them.

They are different. Buy MTX4 ... it's the best just like Tamiya TRF.

i have posted a few pics of the shoe, it would be grt if you could tell me if there is something visablly wrong with it,if it looks ok i might just get the longer screw instead of a new shoe aswell and se how that gose.
(i know there not great they where taken on my phone )
oh 1 thing i did notice was the 2 side screws that have the spring and copper
band round them. 1 of the bands dose not move and the other is moveable,i persume they shold move so do you think the stuck 1 may be causing the problem?
i will try and losen it tonight.

the 2nd and 3rd pic is 1 side and then the other,(not the same side)
Sorry, I can't see the pictures clearly.

If all threads are fine you should be okay to re-use them. Give small drop of CA into the thread's hole and blow off the excess. No problem if little bit of CA spread to some of the clutch's body. Wait 10 minutes to dry completely.

Are the any longer than the 3's? I'm using them on a Custom Works dirt oval car, I have one set on another car and they are the smoothest I have ever seen. My LHS says he can't get any for the 3 anymore. Thanks for the help.

The beginning of the end of the 3. Even our LHS are running low on the 3 parts.

Default Mugen MTX3

If anyone is having problems <I have not run into it yet> getting parts for the MTX3, try Nitrohouse.com or Acehardware, as so far, they have had everything I have needed.
I still run mine everyweekend, and I have stocked-up on the parts that usually need changing during normal driving, whether it wears out, or breaks.

If you have a dremel, you can cut 12mm screws to 10mm.

I'm still using the same clutch for over 1 year now. Never look back to ball system anymore.

I win almost all my races in 2006 with 1 clutch shoe. It's up to you. I already share my secret.

I have never had to replace the center adapter. I don't do it the way ASW describes. I use the stock parts and just tighten the set screw that pushes down on the balls until the two speed shoes separate from each other. Run some gap between the shoes. Test fit the shoes on the 2nd gear hub and make sure it doesn't rub. If you separate the shoes this way you will not have to replace your center adapter.
