Tomorrow I am running the mtx3 again before I clean and dress it up like a shelve queen for the buggy season is in. A change of chassis also from the prospec to the non prospec chassis.

I think I will go get the virtualRC software and USB connector and start practising virtually and apply the learnings on the tracks. I am not keen at downtime during track days.So long as the x3 still has foam on the rims I will want to run it bald.

Getting used to the one way and actually liking it a lot. My RB is slowly dying on me now hahahahahaha.
So...with virtual rc, you can change cars, set ups, and track conditions etc?????

yup, check it out. It is the next best thing than being on the tracks yourself.

I see...there was a MTX3 running, thought it was yours. Please don't say that, it's a life-long learning thing, no one will be nobody's mosquito, the more the merrier!

Track surface is flat, traction is OK, but it's really quite hard on the tire wear. We're mostly using 40 or 42 shores, I'm using 40F/42R Kawahara tires with great results. Depends on the layout, this track has got GOOD combinations of chicanes, hairpins, sweepers, and technical corners; an enjoyable track to learn. Nice to drive around with all the combinations, but takes reasonable time to get the car tweaked right and go FAST.

heh heh heh......initially, I had a lot of broken parts running in HPC....and now I merely scratch my shell once in a while hehehehhe.......practise! and more practise!

Those 3 port fellas can really take the sweepers without even lifting their throttle! I was very tempted to run my mtx3 but thinking the sun is up and high....time to let the mbx5 out of it's cage. If you notice a fella with a box with "barely street legal"that would be me ......gimme a holler the next time you see me.

Guys... I need your input....

Recently I test my car after major cleaning & overhaul. I replaced the clutch shoe ( doughnut type ). However, I didn't replace the 4 pieces clutch shoe in flywheel. During the test, after 3 tanks, I notice my car occasionally did not run spontaneously on full throttle input. I notice this problem especially when my car is about to exit a corner..... I give it full throttle, the engine rpm screamed.... but the car did not run spontaneously. Do you get the picture ?

What cause " the lags " ? Is it the play or clearance in clutch bell too narrow ? Is it my two speed clucth become thinner ? Is it one way bearing in Spur Gear is about to go out of service ?

I checked the screw that keep the clutch bell and crankshaft is tight.

eerr......clutch spring too tight maybe? does it happen consistently? did you replaced the "doughnut" with the same item? maybe the shoe isn't broken in yet...just a thought.

Is the flywheel tightened all the way down? And yes you should check the shimming that could also cause the problem you are describing....

..... upon corner exit I gave it full throttle, the engine rpm screamed, but the car slips or didn't run ..... I have to re- gas again and then the car run. The effect is something like that ( loose flywheel ).

I check the shimming...... I admit my clutch bell clearance is too narrow ( very little play ).

A friend of mine suspect the one way bearing on 1st Spur Gear.

Well, I've never had a oneway bearing go, so I can't really help there...I guess I would start by pulling the motor and checking everything on there and then start working out from there in the drive train...

I never had a one way bearing go either, but I was having the exact same problem. The cause was the titanium 2 speed shaft I was using had worn down just enough where the one way bearing rides to cause it to slip. I thought it was the bearing, but I tried a few different ones and the problem still existed. I changed the 2 speed shaft and all the problems were gone.
