I am flying strait into Ft Myers. The flight was pretty cheap actually...cheaper than I could drive it in my 4 door Sierra Truck. I get in Firday the 13th (hmmmmm.....) about 3:00 and leave Monday about 11:00am and then the same deal for the Nats a few weeks later. I hope the weather is good. I will pack light for the series race and pick up fuel when I get into town. I usually use Maxi 30 or Odonell 30. Hope I can find that down there. Anyone know what the bite is like there? Is it one of those 1/8th scale tracks where you run the car slammed down to 3.5mm and rubber bands for tires??Ha

bite and wear is excellent. I run around 4.5 and the track is a fast and unforgiving. Maxi usually is at the race, so if you contact them ahead of time, he should be able to help you out with the fuel. Running 1/10 or 1/8? With 1/10, running 37 or 40's and for the nats, as the week goes on, you will end up on 45's and still have too much bite.

I am going to run 200mm at the nats. I just bought my MRX-4 so I will run it for the first time at the Ft Myers series race but probably not at the Nats unless I get it up to speed quickly. Who do I need to talk to for the fuel. You can PM me if you like.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I will give a quick report on my preparation and travels along the way.

Thanks

JEFF

I like the kawahara lola body for my nitro sedan, however without a floating rear mount (setup like the 8th onroads) it's pretty much useless.

How about adding carbon fiber plates on front & rear body mount ?

useless!! What in the hell are you talking about. The kawahara lola is awesome, fixed or not, the wedge design (wing) handles great! Useless is what you have when you have to go back to the sedan body style.

I think what harkonnen meant : the lola body is not performing well without the floating rear mount like in 1/8th cars ( because MTX3 rear body mount is too narrow ).

I want to try lola body for lola racing 2006.

Well I ran my mtx 3 prospec with the kawahara lola last year as a outlaw in the midwest series races. The mtx 3 handle great with this body on a fixed mount, You will enjoy the tons of steering you wiill have. The body is very easy to cut out too, just follow the guide lines on the body, lines up perfectly.

4mm is the "rule", but i use 2mm only and the car runs good.
