True, I never thought about it that way. As my sig says my prospec is en route. I'm not an heavy enough racer yet to be able to push a car to it's limits so Ill probally stick with it for at least next season, and the rest of this season.

thats not always true....(the car will abviously be better) thats not 100% true......for instance take a look at the tamiya evo 3 SERIKARN (Spelling)? and take a look at the tamiya evo 4 ......it was such a big hype all about the evo 4 and once people got there hands on them they wanted to sell them and go back to there evo 3......i no it is electric but im just using it as an analagy........all im trying to say is that im really confused with wat i should do...buy a mugen mtx-3 prospec for a good deal or wait for the mtx-4 and get it at full price???????

and i no sumone answered this before but what other spares would i need ...i no sumone said uprights and belts..but what about pinions and spurs and stuff

thanks

Mike

MTX-3 is gret car. in MY OPINION ther is very little to be improved. so you have to think about it and make ur decision.

as far as spares i listed some earlier. as far as pinions and spurs..... pinions dont go all that often, spurs do but it all depends where u run the car. if you run it on the prepped track the chances of gears stripping are significantly lower than if you run the car in the parking lot.

overall mtx-3 is the most durable car that i have owned. and one of the most durable cars out there

get the 3. Good deal good price you will be happy. Enough said. If its the prospect the gearing on it is good. Just get a set a belts arms and uprights if you are that concerned about breaking and be done. No more confusion.

You got part of a picture to go by why are you confused. There is nothing to compare it too. Newer is not always better. The 3 has been proven!!

Don't make emotional buying yet for MTX3 ........ I know it's so tempting to buy MTX3 at lower price but I would rather wait and see as the best option. Some early adopters will make comments about MTX4 performance.

Newer is not always better ? Yup... it's true, just take a look XRAY T1FK vs. FK05, Marlboro Scuderia Ferrari F1 2004 vs. 2005, BMW Williams F1 2002 vs 2003, 2004, 2005 ( become worst ).

Keep in mind guys the mtx 3 was a great car untill the rrr came along. That is why mugen is coming out with the mtx 4 Plus the mtx 3 has a lot of problems staying on all 4's on high bite tracks like Toledo. Make sure you bring plenty on rear bulk heads to the G.L.C you will need them.

winning isn't everything it's the only thing!!!

would anyone know if the diff locker for the V1RRR will fit in the mtx diff. I read it here somewhere but would like to have it confirmed. I am running a diff in front and would like to try a spool. I cant get the kawahara locker for the mtx but the V1RRR is available at my LHS.

nitrohouse.com has them. Check under mtx-3 options. I might get one myself when mine comes.
