Did any of you actually contact Ifmar about where the 2014 WC will be held?.

The only way to let them know that people are waiting on this is to actually let them know!.
Asking every week on a forum doesn't help much...

LMAO

I heard they going Hunger Game style this year. bringing back all the old Champions to duke it out.

Since they will be the only ones able to afford to go on such short notice.

I only post because I was set on going to Argentina.

I get your point about action rather than words, but other than talking to country's club/race org is there any way to contact IFMAR?

I think most have asked locally.

I tried messaging sir Dallas no reply yet. Merry Christmas everyone! May your cars be set up correctly, may your engines be fast and cool, may your sleeves be tight, your glowplugs be glowing, and your racing lines be true

Thanks for the instructional video and suggestion DS. I did contact IFMAR 7 days ago and sadly did not get a reply.

Maybe we need some rocket science. Got any?

If not, I guess we will just go back to what new (and some old) racers do when they are very excited about a race and want to attend it --> gossip/talk about it on a specialized forum.

Indeed, some banter never hurt trying to get the ball rolling and there's a few in SE asia that would really like to know as well

In truth its your national governing body you have to approach, they approach FEMCA, then IFMAR.

Need to push at the club level!!

The only thing we can do is keep sending them emails, put some pressure on them.
I do agree it's taking too long for them to confirm the date and location.
If there are any issues it would have been smart by them to communicate this to the racers.

I replied the way I did because I got the impression some are only complaining about Ifmar and other organizations without taking the least amount of effort to find out more: sending them an email.
Ifmar and others are run by volunteers, we have to keep this in mind.

If it's held on a nice location and work allows it I think I will.
This year I'm able to fully focus on my racing again, so a WC would fit in nice.
Just want to make sure I can really attend the race this time, hated it when I had to cancel my 2012 attendance last minute.

Anybody heard anything yet or had any responses from contact with IFMAR/FEMCA?? I've had no responses to my attempts and contacting various IFMAR officers and FEMCA itself...

Quite a frustrating situation to be honest!
