Default Shock removal/installation method?

Placing and detaching shocks off of their towers and arms kill me! Is there an easy method for removal and installation without scratching, breaking, or bending anything? (example: shock caps, ballends, shafts)

You can switch to a captured ball end setup. Just go down to your LHS and see what they have. I know that the old t-max had them.
