I havent used a return spring in 34 years in the hobby. Question is what caused the failure of the servo. Average Savox is [email protected] of torgue. You have return band more than 12kg to the band or spring to operate. Something more than 12kg will cause chirping or humming of servos causing overheating of servos. Using lipo's? Lipo's cuts off at 3v per cell or a few millivolt less 6v all together. NiHm 4v minimum Savox will operate, Slower below 4v.

So what was the cause of the failure??

Well the first failure was from one guy t-boning me around a turn and my throttle linkage coming unconnected. The second one was when I was running NiMH batteries and the battery died. And then the third was recently that my battery just came unplugged. Two of those run always were very costly so I want to be able to prevent those from happening again.
