Default Ofna GPX4 wont shift help

just picked up a used ofna gpx 4 car looks great went over everything it was well taken care of. but the seller told me it would not shift into second gear before I got it. what makes the gears shift? this is my first on road nitro and I want to find out what to look for before I just start throwing parts at this thing.

Check out pages 9 and 24 for the 2-speed transmission

I believe the default setting is 2-1/2 turns out.

200mm touring car bodies should fit.
