Talking Nitro

Ah man... I like you..

Look at that character with the machine gun.

He's shooting out Piston/sleeves at the zombies.

Ah. Did I forget to mention I have spare piston/sleeve/con rod sets to keep me going for a few years? I have engines that I've had since the late 90s and I still have parts to keep them going.

It seems the .12 RB concepts engines just go and go and go and go..

I've got a few of them.

Oh Yeah. So when is 1/10th scale Nitro Truck coming back??? I haven't finiish breaking in my Nitro engine in for that yeat. The truck is just sitting there waiting to go for a race day..

(I know, Nitro truck isn't for this form, but, I thought I'd bring it up...LOL)

Noise is an issue. All tracks that have had issues with noise in the UK have been shut or switched to electric only.

Shame really but they're gone now and the remaining ones that were built in sensible locations where noise isn't an issue are still running.

1/8 circuit cars are more popular at national level In the UK than 200mm touring. But at club level I think the 200mm cars are more popular.

The engines in nitro are all relatively similar in terms of performance the difference between a club level engine and a factory tuned engine isn't as huge as some would have you believe.

It's good racing! I'd struggle to run electric now it's just not as much fun.

Nitro won't die... It's just way too much fun!
Noise is an issue tough and in the 200mm sedan class we have very very good results with the latest Hipex low noise exhaust systems: it reduces the noise level significantly without any noticable loss in power...
We were already using the INS box on the carburettor.

Electric is good for one thing, Winter racing to keep the skills sharp. Outside of that why would you race it in the summer? What fun is a race that lasts 5 to 8 minutes total with not so much as a pit stop? Don't get me wrong I run electric when I want to bash with a slash around the house, or race in the winter.

You want to simulate actual racing the only way to do it is nitro (or gasoline). There is nothing better than a 150 lap, hour long main where pit strategy like real racing plays a factor in the result.
Totally agree!

when I 1st got into the sport a lil over a year ago nitro t-maxx 3.3 was my first car at the time it was cheaper to get fuel than buy a bunch of good batteris....I even tried a vxl slash I liked it for about 2 months then I sold after buying motor and esc's bateris chargers it was just to much to deal with I rather just tune a motor it more fun to me that....and trust me ppl im not knocking batteries they are cool and faster and kinda less problems my next car mite be battery
