Default Serpent Vector

I'm still new but I have recently acquired a Vector with a OFNA Force .21 motor. I do not track race. I parking lot drag race for top speed and distance. My question is I would like recommendations on motors and gearing to break over 100mph. So consider this a wish list with money as no object .Or tell me about your personal feat of doing this 100mph+ run. I got the car for cheap so I have more to spend on a good motor. Even suggest cheaper motors that can be modded to perform better.I run about 300' turn arounds.

I think to hit 100 mph....you will need WAY longer then 300' foot long straight...probably 1000.........then you will need some $800 ENGINE (ie JP mod or something expensive...)

But overall, I doubt you can do 100 mph with Vector....HPI did one special Super Nitro for 100mph at a airport runway.........with full custom made titanium gears with really TALL gear ratio in order to reach 100 mph.

I think typical race ready 1/8th are around 70-80mph, which are running with some $800 plus motor with several thousand dollars equipment on board...

Try lower your speed limit............sometimes, money cannot buy everything.

We have a Super Nitro that's running 96 on one radar gun and 93 on another
These are consecutive runs in about a 400' range

A 950R hits 87 with a Collari .21

Getting 80 - 90 is no problem, breaking the century mark is the challenge

Like you said maybe a Vector will have to be heavily modified
But I'm sure others have done this on other types
I'm just seeing what other options are out there, and or combinations
