When I last spoke with Jason - which was about 2 weeks ago - he was going to have an order of Dues - not the Evos - and spares on the way from Italy before WRC closed for the August vacation. The Evos wouldn't be ready until September at the earliest. Jason didn't have final pricing yet, because there wasn't a firm number yet on shipping and the import duties, but he did say the pricing on the older Dues should be very attractive, and he would be continuing to support the Dues with spares even after the Evos are available.

I'm getting a Due myself, because I'm more of an "attractive pricing" rather than "bleeding edge" kind of guy...and because I'm really jonesing to get some track time with the car this season.

Again, this is nothing official - just my understanding of two week old news.

Just an update on the WRC Dues...I got a PM from Jason and he said the cars and parts have arrived stateside. He's working to get his website online - hopefully by next week - with pricing and ordering information.

For the first time in a while - modern 2wd pan cars and spares available from a source in the US!

Thanks for the update! It is great that there is a car and spares on the way. Hopefully this will help the class grow and maybe other manufacturers will get onboard.

That's great news. I'm looking forward to seeing the pricing on both cars. We may have retire our French Fry car as Lon Sr. calls it.

Default GLC

I have heard Jason is going to have a DUE built and racing in the GLC. Hope so I can't wait to see one of these cars in action.

Actually, I think Jason was trying to get his Due built to be able to practice with it this weekend at the NYS Championship race at Port Jervis. Don't know if that will happen. And I am 99.99% sure that more than just Jason from the NY area will have a Due out at the GLC later this month....

I know that Lon had gotten two of them directly from WRC before Jason took on the distributorship - assume that's who you're referring to.

Yes. He has raced one and just started working on the second. Unfortunately he got hurt at work and may not be able to run for awhile.

Hi Jeff

I don't want to over promise, but I was told the car will be ready in September. Italy has been on holiday for the month of August so I will here from WRC next week, and will be able to give a more specific ETA. There are a few other US drivers hoping to run the EVO before the fall so I will do my best to make it happen.

Thanks
Jason

Is the WRC group going to offer a 4WD conversion in the future? I say this as the front end layout is similar to the BP Classic 4wd prototype that was seen a while back.

This would be a similar stepping stone to 4WD as the Motoniva P8F etc.

Please join us at the WRC forum where we are discussing all of the WRC pan topics, including both the GT Due and GT EVO chassis:

There aren't plans for a 4wd conversion, and for our purposes its seems of little value as we are working hard to grow the classic 2wd pan car class in the United States, and adding this additional version of the pan car would do little to help this effort, not to mention it would produce a car too similar to 4wd open.

Thanks for the question
Jason
