Arrow STS Pro 10 1/10th scale 200mm 4WD Gas Touring Car

CRC is now distributing the STS line of products. STS manufacturers tuned engines, pipes, assorted parts, and as well as gas on-road racing vehicles. I looked at www.teamcrc.com and saw the Pro 10 chassis. Looks like an Impulse with some improvements. The "Direct Hub-Carrier Mounted" Floating Rear Body Mount is something that I have wanted for my Reflex since I first had the car. There is also a line of option-parts for this car. It comes with some nice looking Aluminum Threaded-Shocks and a Centax Clutch as well.

Does anyone currently race this car? If so, is there anything you can tell us about it? Does it come with universal driveshafts? How does it compare and compete with the other cars on the market? How is the quality of the parts and materials?

It seems like a great deal, all for only $224.99. Here are some picrures of this car:

The car is based on the Madog, most of the parts were very close to Serpent, You could in fact use the Madog parts to convert a 2wd Impact to 4wd. I have seen one on the track and the car is very stable.

STS is a Taiwanese manufacturer, so the car is already in Asia. Look at www.stsrc.com.tw for a distributor for your particular area.

Copy Cat for sure. I beat it can use Serpent arms and hubs...
Even the two speed look the same. I wonder if Serpent going to sue them for copyright violation....

Ummm, what's the Serpent 950? Never heard of it.

Anyway Stefan, you know very well that the MRX3 in the first place was based on the Vector design. So now you're saying that ANY Serpent car which is based upon the original Vector is a copy of the MRX3? How can Serpent avoid this?

You yourself mentioned this in another thread and I believe you hit the nail right on the head...

"don't start this again.

Have you ever looked at Formula One cars.
All the teams design their own cars, but if you'd paint them all white you could barely see a difference. Why?

Not because they are all copying, simply because their is one design that comes closest to the optimum.

Same with engines. Why should Smeltz try to reinvent the wheel?

Look at stock engines. They are almost all close to identical, simply because it works.

Look at the modified engines, same thing.

So, if you are interested in his motors, ok, if not, leave him alone."

"With one working design, comes another of the same with just minor improvements."

that's true one company copies another company's design and makes improvements on the old designs
