Default JP Black RS-12T5S1 5L Turbo Engine

Hi!

Can anybody comment on the performance of this engine?

...Against other 5 ports
...Against RTU's or Jtech and Smeltz modded engines?

Is it a by design Outlaw engine? was just wondering if it could still be modded further....

JP S1 worth the coin?

I'd also like to know has anyone ran this engine or could comment on it's performance. It's price is as expensive as some top-shelf big block .15s at $330.00. Is it worth an extra 120 dollars over a regular S1 5 port?

Speaking of powerful .12's The RS12 T5 MS Modified Turbo is out...Check it out on the NovaMega Site.

Also, A Taiwanese tuner is also churning out modified Nova Engines...check their rad design out...

The piston has a window on the side....and I'm actually not sure what that does. Their crank even looks like a JP!

I wonder if they use the same quality of aluminum as the Italians do...

Anybody on the JP 5 port?

turbo is just a reference to the type of head button that accepts a conical shaped ("turbo") glow plug instead of a standard one. There is no turbine or anything remotely related to the traditional use of the word. The turbo engines just allow for slightly better combustion due to the plug's position in the engine and thus produce slightly more power and in my opinion hold their tune slightly better as well. Emphasis on slightly for everything.
