Go to The ORION link on the home page here and click on the wasp.12
I don't think you'll like what you read.

From what I read, the outside diameter of the exhaust port is smaller than most other engines. At least it was for an AE header.

yes. stefan is right on same as a collari. it is a picco as is the omega 12

Look I'll say it again its either a novarossi, rossi, picco, cmb or OS derivitave. Those are the major players and the others are rebadged derivitaves.
All the other RTR type engines are throwaways built by the lowest bidder.

There IS a header that fits the WASP properly, my local distributor called them and he was supposedly told to double-gasket the standard header (LEAKS LIKE A SIEVE) but he did end up finding one for a friend of mine....wish i knew who made it

I have a collari in my NTC3 and I just use a GS .15 exhaust gasket. This combo has never leaked for me.

So no one has actually driven a wasp? They are available as I have seen them in the case at Ultimate hobbies. Maybe they have info on which gasket will work. And what do you mean I won't like the stats?

Default I have one.

It is essentially a 3 port Collari Picco. I however have yet to figure out why the carb temp gets to 180 dgrees when the glow plug is 210 and the fuel vapor locks at the main needle jet. For the first 3 minutes though it is a rocket! LOL ..Too bad it wont finish the race. I believe the carb is to fault but I wont find out till I send it in to Orion since they are a bit baffled too. I would say yes it is a decent performer since I never seem to have had a problem with my Collari 5 port with the same carb. Must be my luck!
