Jpilone, we may have to see what we can do about the cooler idea at the Great Lakes Challenge, or some other time.

You know, when Josh came off the stand, I shook his hand and reminded him that he's going to get soaked... he reluctantly knew that and acknowledged... but with the delay, seems as though they forgot!!!

Get him at GLC, i'll have the camera ready!

Josh's article on the race (strategy, what he used, how he won, etc.) is now posted in the "news" area at sgrid.com along with a few photos he sent me to show the Jaco tires and batteries.

Since you are now referring to a paid service, this has officially entered the realm of spam.

I'm not sure what the difference is between referring to an online magazine or a paper magazine.... I've been referring to what's coming out in the old paper version of the Starting Grid for years, and several of us refer to various other paper magazines. Oh well. My only problem was that I used to get so many (paper) magazines that I didn't have enough time to read them all.

What I used to do, is put all the "facts" about a race out in the open, on three or four websites that lots of people go to. There would also be one "full" article that would go to whoever I was covering the event for, and a different article that I'd put in my own magazine.

I certainly know what "spam" is (my email is full of it), and wouldn't post that kind of thing in any forum or conference. Telling people where something can be found (a product, or an article) isn't the same thing.

By the way, mostly for future use, I had a long talk with the people at JLap earlier today. The information I posted up above somewhere was correct, but not complete. If you're running JLap, and it starts to rain, it is true that you can press the yellow "pause" button, which puts the race on hold. However, the clock keeps going, which means when the race time runs out, the race is "over". In the current build of JLap, what you also have to do, is change the length of the race, adding in a couple of hours. That way the race doesn't end for a long time - so once the rain stops, and the track is dried, and you're ready to resume racing, you can adjust the race time to the desired setting, and continue the race.

Future versions of JLap will probably have an additioinal feature, to allow the race to be paused, and also to stop the clock. That will make doing this even easier. For now though, the above method is what would be needed, if a race were to be suspended for a while while the track had to be dried off.

They originaly gave 2nd to Paulo, but after a protest moved him back to 3rd. Neat trick. considering he flamed out coming out of the pits 3times, but because of the placement of the timming loop (at the exit of pit lane) he was not docked those three laps. After that he had to come in and change a battery pack, and still got 3rd. Man that guy is fast. The race was stopped due to rain, when they red flagged the you could not restart the race from that point. The Jlap system will not let you do that. So they restarted the race by flagging the racers off from the pits in the order they were in prior to the rain,Brandon McNally was in 4th, when the 1st part ended, 3rd when the 2nd part ended and their results say he finished 6th. I just hope they post both sets of results and let evrybody see how they came up with what they came up with. Has anybody else out there been to a race that got screwed up When Mike Queller(our ROAR vice president) was involved?

WARDO- You ask about the vp, why do you think that there is no more speedline race in Las Vegas. Here is a,well you probably already know.
