The main issue with the Live RC coverage is the fact that, from my understanding, they have first refusal of event coverage for all major US RC races. So, since they technically covered the event, no one else was authorized to provide live filming. I have been suspect of this arrangement from the beginning, but if they had done a good job it would be less of an issue. What happened is the worst case scenario and the reason we should all be suspect of this arrangement--they have a monopoly on production rights, but then don't do the work, so we are left with nothing.
This agreement prevents others from investing the time and energy to provide an alternative production, so I see this act of showing up and leaving as an attempt by LiveRC to stake their territory without expending the resources to do the complete job. This contract needs to be revisited as we can see the downside here.
In other words, they legally blocked anyone else from covering the event. Instead, they should have made a public statement well in advance of the event indicating they would not provide complete coverage in case someone else wanted to film. I know this is not likely to happen in the short term, but requiring LiveRC to announce this in advance will allow others to consider organizing a production in the future.
At this point I feel Live RC has failed to deliver the product which they have claimed exclusive rights, and in my opinion should forfeit the exclusive terms previously agreed to by ROAR.

I agree, something needs to be done in order to promote with the coverage with On road racing here in the U.S! I don't know what the deal is with liveRc.... This is like the 3rd time they did some crap like this!!!
