My own 3Racing truer seems able to keep up with anything I have compared it with, if anything it does a few things faster, partly because of the drive motor auto brake (switch of the motor and it comes to a dead stop almost instantly), though it does lack the 'fast return' on the cutting pass I think some truers have.

In terms of cuts, mine has never struggled with 4mm in a single hit, the test I did on amp draw with the new cutting bit was around 4mm, drawing 8.5amps max, and it's done a whole heap more than that, a friend was using it on 8th scale rears shortly after I got the bit, I was surprised to find him doing 7mm cuts, with the truer not even slowing down during the cut.

I think the Hudy truers hold up so well in part just because of the cutting bit, but throw an equally hard and sharp bit on something like the 3Racing, and it's just as capable from what I have seen of mine, though I'll be the first to say should it crap out on me, but it's been going strong like a year or so now, no idea how old it was when I got it.

15 years on an OFNA / Corally fully automatic truer = no problem whatsoever!:nod:
