RB's are Nova's that have been built to their specs. They are very good engines. The X12 is an older model though. The V12 is the current model. I have have mine for over a year and I really like it. Its easy to tune and reliable. It doesn't seem to like HPI power fuel though. I've switched back to Odonnel's and its working great.

Hello,

I have a RB X12 standard with pull start on one of my older car. This RB X12 is consider lower end of rb engine line so if you compare the lower end novarossi they'll be about the same. My suggestion is try to get the newer RB V12s. IMHO RB V12s perform a lot better than X12s.

It is a Novarossi based engine. Ran a Rody x-12 for half of last years season, easy to tune, smooth power band, and was on e of my more reliable engines. Go for it.

Who gave you that info. Far from the truth. Yes the X-12 was replaced by the V-12 model. But the x-12 was RB's flagship engine in the .12 series. Top, Rex, Rb are all nova based engines with there own tweaks.

ralliartlanevov,

There are a few places you could race, check em' out:
www.prospeedrcraceway.com
www.rcmadness.com
www.nercar.com

Also Edison New Jersey, Barcarc Rc Club(there website is almost done) Go to www.brucknerhobbies.com for more info.

I go to Ffloyd Bennett once and awhile to test new stuff, but am not a big fan of non-sanctioned lot racing.

Hope to see you at the track sometime, come and introduce yourself.

I have not been impressed with the power of the stock RB engines for onroad racing. They do cost less money however.

The novarossi, rex, top button should fit. Try calling ace or nitrohouse.

710- I got my Rody V12 3 port STD plug for $320. The ROAR and EFRA vs feature a darker heatsink, turbo plug, and composite carb. That's the only difference I notice.
