I still have the distributors price list. I'll have a look and see what option parts were available. I know there were loads of them.

Looks like the old serpent graphite chassis, they had engine heat problems as the graphite was not a very efficient heat sink.

Insert for brake pivot ,yes. Would the machined rails and holes be shiny, yes.
I really don't care as the car is obsolete however it looks graphite.

My gratious, it appears people are getting annal.

The parts I had match the parts shown in the pictures. The chassis plate is black anodized aluminum and has the same numbers on the bottom mentioned above. Those numbers do not match the P/N on the Optional Parts List, but I can assure you that it is OP-18. Now the rest of the parts in the pictures are the front and rear bearing blocks, the rear radio tray mount and the radio tray. The radio tray is the graphite upper deck that is OP-04. So all of those parts are in the photos. It is easy to see the graphite piece, radio tray, and think that the entire thing is woven graphite. In reality, it is only the radio tray on top of the sub-assembly that includes the black anodized aluminum chassis.

Additionally, NEO was noted for doing some one-off parts that sometimes were radical. I think it is possible that they actually made a graphite chassis that could have been the same as OP-18. However, I never had one and CRC never identified that one was available. I do have a one-off 1/8 scale chassis plate that was different than the standard chassis and the OP-19 chassis offered as an optional part. It was aluminum with a clear anodized coating. The difference was that it was very thick and had machined recess areas for mounting the equipment. This actual chassis was run by David Chester and Chris Tossolini in past nats and the Texas Biggie. I was told there were only 4 of these in existance.

much debate on the graphite chassis. i do remember that such a chassis was a very limited production during the days. i do not have one but seen a few which left me rather unbelievable. even many drivers can't believe what they see at that time.only the few lucky guys have it..................how envious i was man......too bad,it was too limited....
